It's hard to believe it's been nearly 15 years since I adopted "Speedy Wind", (barn name Cleo) from UPF. She will be 19yrs in June and is as lovely now as in 1996.
Cleo was adopted as my hunter prospect when returning to college for my nursing degree; and although unbroke, she was the perfect choice. She wanted a job; and remembered her lessons during the weeks I was unable to ride due to studies.
Cleo has been my successful show hunter on the L.A. show circuits. In November we retired (both older ladies now) to pleasure riding. Cleo retires 100% sound and hopefully will be my riding companion for many years to come.
The rider is a trainer friend of mine who helped me move her up in height over fences; to a solid 3'-3'3" hunter. Other than his help, Cleo has been my project. What fun we have had!
Thank you for allowing me to take care of this beautiful horse.
